11 Artists We'd Call "Daddy" This Father's Day

image

Oh yes, this is really happening. But this isn't just about looks, honey. We've carefully selected some of our favorite artists who are absolutely killing it in their musical careers and those who we'd also want to learn more about in other ways (*wink wink*). Without further ado, here are 11 artists we'd call "Daddy" this Father's Day.

Daddy #1: Alexander 23 (Age: 24)

image

If you're looking for someone who'd definitely impress your family, then Alexander 23 is your man. The electro-pop artist is widely known for calling his grandparents often and being exceptionally kind to strangers. With only three infectious singles released so far, Alexander 23 is just getting started and you should sit beside him on this thrilling roller coaster ride that only goes up.

Daddy #2: Dominic Fike (Age: 23)

image

Nicknamed by his devoted fans as Dom Fike Daddy, Dominic Fike is from The Sunshine State, but his life isn't all rainbows and butterflies. In other words, Fike isn't afraid to keep it real with you–as we can suspect from his honest songwriting on his debut, Don't Forget About Me, Demos (EP 2018). As if his Apple logo tattoo isn't already enough to get us interested, Fike's heartwarming personality and underdog persona will surely win you over.

Daddy #3: Dorian Electra (Age: 26)

image

Identifying as gender fluid, Dorian Electra is a pop artist who's extremely vocal when it comes to expressing their sexuality in every aspect of life. With song titles like "Clitopia" and their latest "Daddy Like," there's no way Electra couldn't make it on our exclusive list. Electra is a proud advocate for feminism and LGBTQ+ rights so if you want to get politically involved with this lovely soul, join their mission to equality now.

Daddy #4: Greyson Chance (Age: 21)

image

A trailblazing pop singer who initially gained viral recognition on YouTube nearly a decade ago, Greyson Chance is back and better than ever. What he considers to be his debut album, portraits (LP 2019) includes the "plains" interlude in which Chance pays homage to his beloved mother. We all adore a sweet man who loves his mama, don't we?

Daddy #5: Jesse Rutherford (Age: 27)

image

There's just something so sexy about lead singers with captivating voices, and The Neighbourhood's Jesse Rutherford is exactly that. Although he gained major success as the alternative-indie band's front man, Rutherford has taken it upon himself to explore a promising solo career in a completely different genre: hip hop. You better snatch this multi-talented man up before his rap career really takes off.

Daddy #6: NoMBe (Age: 28)

image

Are you a thrill seeker? Then we're more than happy to introduce you to Noah McBeth, better known by his stage name NoMBe. At just 19 years old, the German heartthrob went on a class trip to Las Vegas, but he eventually drifted away from his classmates and never got on his return flight. McBeth daringly took a chance on music, leading him to release an emotional 18-track album, They Might've Even Loved Me, which really showcases NoMBe's open heart that's yours for the taking.

Daddy #7: Oliver Tree (Age: 25)

image

Chaotic Evil Daddy, anyone? If quirky dudes are your forte, then Oliver Tree is most definitely your bachelor. The alternative-pop singer/rapper sports neon colored ensembles, a rocking bowl cut, and the widest boot cut jeans you've ever seen. Tree's looking for someone dorky who knows how to have fun, so if that's you, please submit your application immediately.

Daddy #8: Omar Apollo (Age: 22)

image

To put it simply, Omar Apollo is the boy next door who has considerable potential to be more than just "Friends." This indie-funk master dances, sings, and impresses parents one charming note at a time and your folks could be next. Apollo proudly reps his Mexican heritage, integrating Spanish into his song titles, and his dance moves will absolutely blow you away so you may as well join him on the dance floor ASAP.

Daddy #9: Slayyyter (Age: 22)

image

This next artist is so "Daddy AF" that she even has a song titled exactly that. Enter one of our favorite rising pop personalities: Slayyyter. Although she's only released ten studio singles so far, Slayyyter makes up for her minimal discography with her unapologetic attitude and overpowering aura. Hop on Slayyyter's fun train now if you're ready for a good time!

Daddy #10: The Jonas Brothers (Age: 31, 29, 26)

image

Sooo... The Jonas Brothers are officially back?! It's no secret that "Burnin' Up" and "Lovebug" are on the nostalgic soundtracks of our childhoods. But now Kevin, Joe, and Nick have blessed us with a heartwarming reunion, which is accompanied by a phenomenal new record, Happiness Begins (LP 2019), a much overdue documentary, and an upcoming world tour. Apparently, the JoBros just don't stop giving, so let these handsome fellas spoil you with endless love… before their wives find out.

Daddy #11: Zak Abel (Age: 24)

image

Are accents your weakness? Then get a load of Zak Abel, a British singer-songwriter who crafts the most soulful pop melodies with his luscious vocals and intricate instrumentals. This humble Londoner once moved to France to pursue a semi-pro career in table tennis, but we're glad he realized his passion for music was far greater than any trophy could compensate for. If you've been searching for a lover and not a fighter, meet the man whose motto is "You Come First."
