easy life teams up with Gus Dapperton on the chilling alternative indie track “ANTIFREEZE,” telling a story of heartbreak at -22 degrees.

One of the first singles from the UK band's forthcoming album, MAYBE IN ANOTHER LIFE…, set to release October 7, the record promises to explore the intersection of our choices and consequential reality. It’s sure to solidify their unique foothold in the industry as a band devoted to reckless self-introspection while remaining light on their feet.

“ANTIFREEZE” features Gus Dapperton, the New York-based artist who garnered well-deserved attention in the bedroom pop world and beyond for his timeless vocals and dapper demeanor. There’s a specific essence that comes out of songs made during lockdown, as if they’re churned from somewhere deeper. Frontman Murray Matravers and Dapperton wrote the track while finding a shared familiar comfort within their mirrored experiences, all while over zoom. What came next was a gritty story, one that begs the question: would you plead for them to stay, even if it’s solely to hurt you more?

“ANTIFREEZE” is accompanied by a grainy visual that feels melancholic and otherworldly. Directed by Yago Hunt-Laudi, it follows Dapperton and Matravers through the restless streets of New York, featuring an animated sequence that’s impressively cinematic. It’s both gloomy and vibrant, as if they’re in between timelines or in the midst of crossing dimensions.

easy life has a way of offering light while spitting their fire. As they continue to harvest the daydream found in an unassuming corner of England, we’ll continue to remain enamored by the colorful worlds they create.
