With only three released singles, Ruby Waters is very much a ripening talent in the realm of alternative singer-songwriters. The Canadian artist has been busking in the busy streets of Toronto for quite some time, but now she's taken it upon herself to professionally release music, and she's even joining Ocean Alley on an upcoming North American tour. Following "Supernatural," Waters is unveiling her intoxicating new single, "Last Cigarette."

With every stunning release, Waters uses her evocative lyricism to make listeners feel connected and intertwined, regardless of their current situation. Co-written by Serena Ryder and Waters herself, "Last Cigarette" is about Waters' desperate calling outside of her familiar hometown. In "Last Cigarette," Waters' blissfully raw vocals are layered with comforting acoustic strumming and sensuous percussion that'll leave you feeling graciously blessed for days.

On "Last Cigarette," Ruby Waters shared with Billboard,

"I remember when we wrote it and when I was writing it. I was really tired and mad about how tired I was. I was working so hard and... just being a big old complainer for a hot three minutes and 30 seconds. And just wanting to leave the city and stuff. I love Toronto, but sometimes you gotta get out of it, you know?"
