## Full Tour Breakdown: Leg-By-Leg

### 1. 2026 North American Leg, September–October Run — Upcoming

The current leg runs from mid-September through early October 2026, routing through the Southwest, Pacific Northwest, Canadian Prairies, and Mountain West. Highlights include Libbey Bowl in Ojai (September 19–20), the historic Malkin Bowl in Vancouver’s Stanley Park (September 24, doors at 6:00 PM), paired Jubilee Auditorium dates in Calgary and Edmonton (September 28–29), and Red Rocks Amphitheatre on October 6 (doors at 6:30 PM). The October 7 Ogden Amphitheater show closes the run as part of Ogden Twilight 2026. No support act has been announced for this leg as of publication. All 13 bookable dates in this run appear with direct ticket links in the section above.

### 2. How To Tell The 2025 And 2026 Runs Apart

The 2025 North American dates formed a brief November run in Texas (Wimberley and Houston) that led into the 2026 European spring leg. The 2026 North American shows divide into two sub-legs: the August 2–19 run with Ben LaMar Gay across the Midwest and Northeast, and the September–October run through the Southwest, Pacific Northwest, Canadian Prairies, and Mountain West. Any date listed before December 2025 belongs to the 2025 leg. Any date from August 2026 onward belongs to the 2026 legs.

## What To Expect At A Big Thief Show

### Support Acts On The Somersault Slide 360 Tour

Ben LaMar Gay, a Southside Chicago native, cornetist, and 2026 United States Artists Fellowship Award recipient, supported all 12 August 2026 North American dates. His live show with his quartet features hand-bell improvisation, a cappella call-and-response vocals, and a cascading hand-bell melody played in formation by three of the four musicians, anchored by drummer Tommaso Moretti and tuba player Matthew Davis. His album *Yowzers*, released via International Anthem in June 2025, was described by Wire Magazine as “Gay’s most cohesive work to date”. No support act has been announced for the September–October 2026 leg.

### Typical Big Thief Concert Length

Setlist.fm calculates the Somersault Slide 360 Tour average at 1 hour 57 minutes of show length, with an average start time of 2 hours 19 minutes after doors. The B-K Stockholm listing scheduled a 2.5-hour headline set from 8:30–11:00 PM, though the performance ran from 8:40 PM to 10:20 PM. A Go Venue Magazine review of the August 17 Des Moines show described the set as nearly two hours. Fans can plan for roughly two hours of music, with Big Thief usually taking the stage about two hours after doors.

### Setlist Shape And Song Rotation

Big Thief changes the setlist every night. The April 8, 2026 Oslo show opened with the live debut of Adrianne Lenker’s new song “What I Only Dream Of” (later titled “Cruel and Beautiful World”) and closed with “Change” and “Spud Infinity.” The August 17 Des Moines set spanned 20 songs, opening with a cover of Vic Chesnutt’s “God is Good” and including “Rock and Sing,” “Born for Loving You,” “Sadness as a Gift,” “Simulation Swarm,” “Vampire Empire,” and “Masterpiece,” before an encore of “Masterpiece” and “Incomprehensible.” The band has tagged 67 setlists under the Somersault Slide 360 Tour on Setlist.fm, reflecting the breadth of the run.

## Additional Context On Big Thief And Double Infinity

[As of 2024, Big Thief consists of vocalist-guitarist Adrianne Lenker, guitarist Buck Meek, and drummer James Krivchenia, after founding bassist Max Oleartchik left the band in June 2024](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Thief). Touring bassist Joshua Crumbly, who is credited for bass on the band’s album *Double Infinity*, joined for the Somersault Slide 360 Tour. The album was recorded live over three weeks at New York’s Power Station with producer Dom Monks. [Four tracks from *Double Infinity* — “Incomprehensible,” “All Night All Day,” and the paired “Los Angeles” / “Grandmother” — were released as singles ahead of the album’s September 5, 2025 release date](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_Infinity).

Big Thief partnered with PLUS1 for the Somersault Slide 360 Tour, with $1 from every ticket supporting efforts to safeguard people experiencing homelessness and to break cycles of homelessness and poverty.

## Patterns, Themes, And Tour Takeaways

The Somersault Slide 360 Tour follows a deliberate multi-year arc: a brief 2025 Texas run, a spring 2026 European sweep, a sold-out-heavy August North American run, and a fall routing through smaller and mid-size markets alongside marquee outdoor amphitheaters. The August pattern, with five of 12 dates selling out in advance plus strong demand at venues like Chicago’s Salt Shed, signals continued interest heading into the September–October leg. Venue choices shift from seated theaters such as Ryman Auditorium and the Jubilee Auditoriums to outdoor amphitheaters like Red Rocks, Malkin Bowl, and Libbey Bowl, along with farm settings such as Remlinger Farms, giving the tour a varied feel. The 2025 and August 2026 dates have already passed. The September–October 2026 shows are the only Somersault Slide 360 Tour dates still on sale.

## Practical Reader Guidance For Remaining Dates

All 13 September–October 2026 dates with direct Ticketmaster links appear at the top of this page. For two-night stands such as Ojai on September 19 and 20, the venue stays the same while the setlist changes, since the band rotates songs nightly. Most remaining dates follow a similar schedule: Malkin Bowl in Vancouver, Knitting Factory Spokane, and KettleHouse Amphitheater in Bonner all list doors at 6:00 PM with an estimated 8:19 PM start. Red Rocks runs slightly later, with doors at 6:30 PM and an estimated 8:49 PM start. Earlier legs sold out quickly, so booking early is the safest way to secure tickets for these final shows.
