YUNGBLUD Invites You to His Grandma's for a Cup of Tea in "Loner" Video

British alternative rocker YUNGBLUD is just the 21st Century Liability we need in trying times like these. Remarkably outspoken on sociopolitical issues both in his daily life and throughout his striking debut album, 21st Century Liability, YUNGBLUD is a living embodiment of a generation fed up with being told that their viewpoints don't matter. It is a message that has propelled the UK artist across sold-out US and UK tours and major festival appearances at the likes of Lollapalooza and Reading. As an artist in the midst of an astronomical rise, it only seems fitting that YUNGBLUD takes a moment to reflect and take us back to where it all started in his new music video.

Transporting us to his hometown of Doncaster, England, "Loner" invites the world into the rising rocker's grandma's living room for a cup of tea. The single, which finds a perfect middle ground between YUNGBLUD's noted punk inclinations and a recent obsession with the '90s Britpop movement, is a candid and sentimental look into the artist's formative years. Linking up with his friends and cousin, "Loner" is a brilliant reminder that no matter what heights YUNGBLUD may climb to in the years to come, he will always be that slightly mischievous kid out of Doncaster.

"I created this track because it's a reflection of where I'm from and who I am. I wanted to invite my fans and people who might not know me yet into my front room and to have a cup of tea with them. I wanted to show them what Dom looks like going to get a glass of water at 2am. At the end of the day, I needed to tell myself no matter what happens or how far this thing goes, that I am just a 21-year-old kid from the north of England who has been put in this position by his fans. If I ever forget that I'm in dangerous water."
