Breaking the mould out of Invercargill, a small town at the bottom of New Zealand, has driven Sam Cullen since picking up a guitar. With genuine lyrics drawn from home and a rock and roll meets pop driving energy, the now Auckland-based artist is a force to be reckoned with.
Since 2022’s ‘Run’ - EP, Sam has honed his stadium rock influences and completed his next era of releases in April 2024 with his ‘Love Again’ - EP. Sam wears his heart on his sleeve with this body of work with songs about growing up and homesickness while figuring himself out a little more.
Over the past 5 years, he has steadily climbed the ladder of success; releasing three EP’s, playing on some of Aotearoa’s biggest stages, selling out headline shows and playing support slots around the country. The summer of 2024/2025 will be Sam's biggest yet as he takes his 5 piece band on the road, hallmarked by a 3 night residency at Rhythm & Vines
