6arelyhuman and asteria Set the Scene Ablaze in 'Cute Songs For Gangsters'

The scene is so back! Scenecore icons 6arelyhuman and asteria have joined forces and unleashed their neon-drenched, Myspace-era scenecore EP, Cute Songs For Gangsters. Dynamic and in-your-face, the five-track release draws inspiration from early 2000s icons like Kesha, Skrillex, and Lady Gaga, bringing 6arelyhuman's nostalgic roots to the forefront.

The EP opens with "BLOODBATH," starting strong by kicking the proverbial door down as 6arelyhuman professes his addiction to the life he's living, refusing to slow down, and warning everyone around him, "I'ma do what I want, so get lost or get with it." asteria wears his outcast status, like his counterpart, like a badge of honor, doling lines like, "Heard motherfuckers talkin' crazy, aimed it straight at his face / We throwin' bands up in the air, all over the place," with razor sharpness. With the duo's meticulous craftsmanship and heavy electronic influence, "BLOODBATH" is a chaotic blend perfect for a night of not giving a fuck.

The record's standout track, "RED MERCEDES," is a deliciously hellish joyride. incorporating video game samples, goosebumps, synths, and racing beats. In the first verse, 6areleyhuman shares how he can't relax and that "lately I've been so close to a heart attack," doing his best not to give in to their anxieties and fight to stay on top. However, 6raleyhuma and asteria begin to question if it's even worth it, confessing, "All these fuckin' drugs make me think that you hate me / Lost soul, baby, fucked up lately," ultimately debating if they should end it all in their Mercedes.

The last year marked a pivotal moment for 6arelyhuman, as he appeared on the first digital cover of Billboard Magazine, signifying his status as a visionary in electronic music. His sound, characterized by a bold blend of rhythmic beats and emotive melodies, resonates with a raw energy and authenticity that has captivated millions.
