Phoenix-raised singer/songwriter Alec Benjamin was one of 2018's breakout artists, and fans have been eagerly awaiting what he has coming out in 2019. After teasing the release of a new track on Twitter, the singer has officially released his first original song of 2019, "Must Have Been The Wind."
"Must Have Been The Wind" is an acoustic, catchy pop song about supporting people, even if you don't know them - human kindness prevails. This is his first track since his debut mixtape, Narrated For You. In the song, Benjamin sings of hearing a woman crying, and when he goes to the second floor to check on her, she denies the accusation and says "… It must've been the wind." It's a wholesome track with plucky guitar chords paired with a simple beat. The new song is very true to Benjamin's sound, and really tugs at your heartstrings.
