Alexx Bean Says He's "Right Where You Left Me" On Explosive New Single

Rising pop-punk rocker Alexx Bean continues to pave the way for himself on his latest high-energy single, "Right Where You Left Me." The track features slamming live drums from Sage Weeber of Point North and a slew of roaring guitars that hook listeners in from start to finish.

The single opens with Bean's addictive vocals backed by a lone guitar. Then, as he fills the air with his guitar strumming, he sings about how he feels like just a face in the background and mulls over a frustrating relationship. Finally, when the climatic chorus hits, Bean belts, "I'm right where you left me/ Waiting for you/ My heart on my sleeve's/ Been ripped in two," as crashing percussion, mosh-inducing guitar lines, and thrumming bass seamlessly blend together in a satisfying sound collage.

Talking about the new single, Alexx Bean shares: "It's a sweet tune played with a lot of teen angst. Breaking out all the classic live rock instruments brings this real human element I've been yearning to hear a reemerge for some time now." Alexx continues, "I feel like Gen Z is bringing back rock in a major way because we're tired of technology overload, and we want something organic and cathartic, not something programmed and immutable."

The accompanying music video, directed by Motion Family's Matt Swinsky and Trill Phil, is a gritty, cinematic music video that immerses viewers in a secret teen rock show at one of Atlanta's abandoned high schools. Oscillating between scenes of Bean performing the song to the camera in various abandoned locations on campus and following his and his love interest's journey of meeting at the underground show, fans are hooked into the dynamic visual, leaving us all rooting for them to find each other.
