BEL Begins Again in Breezy New Single “Fresh Start”

Today marks a fresh start for BEL, rising singer-songwriter with a knack for highly relatable lyrics, addictive hooks and gorgeous instrumentation. The first release since her bilingual double singles in 2024 and captivating 2023 EP Read The Room, the new track, “Fresh Start”, embodies its title in every way. Produced by Jason Vance Harris (Role Model, Juliet Ivy), the breezy anthem of new beginnings comes hand in hand with her new signing announcement to Nettwerk Music Group.

From the very first second of the track, its energy emulates its title. Vocally, BEL sounds more self assured than ever, reveling in the unknown knowing she’ll emerge stronger. Sonically, the track is as layered as its subject matter. “Fresh Start” is a treat for the ears; funky, bouncy, and cheeky as she announces, “I know that I’m due for a fresh start.” Lyrically, BEL goes through the stages of change, emerging from avoidance, processing the pain of reality, and ending up energized by the prospect of a brand new future. BEL’s vocals are gorgeous and refined throughout the whole journey, carrying the song to greatness.

On what inspired “Fresh Start”, BEL shares, “I wrote it when I was moving out of the apartment I had been living in for three years. I had so many memories attached to it, and I lived within 5 minutes of my best friends. It's a song of gratitude for the deep friendships in my life and acknowledging that change can be both painful and beautiful.”

“Fresh Start” marks the beginning of an exciting year for BEL, including live shows supporting labelmate Miya Folick in May and BottleRock Napa Valley and Oceans Calling Festivals in the summer. If this track is any indication of the music to come, we can’t wait to hear what’s next from this exciting, rising singer-songwriter.
