bülow's latest EP  Booty Call  is a call to arms that normalizes all the feelings and thoughts that you are ashamed of having. Each track on the artist's new EP explores unconventional themes and ventures into territory that is not often glamorized. Throughout  Booty Call, bülow does not shy away from the vulnerability of a less than romanticized ideal of love, ultimately presenting listeners with a piece of her soul that is unembellished by Hollywood or societal fantasies.

As an artist, bülow has an effortlessly exceptional talent for articulating difficult to place feelings that both resonate as both deeply personal and universally kept secrets. "Playin' Me Back" candidly captures the inevitable mind games of a budding romance that can begin to feel like an Olympic sport  . "How does it feel when I play you? / Pulling on your strings boy, do you like that? / How does it feel? / Gotta say that it don’t feel good when you playing me back," she sings in unapologetic fashion.

These relatable feelings are further explored in the FINNEAS-produced title track, "Booty Call." " I wanna be the last one in your bed / I’ll pop right into your head unannounced / I wanna be the other girl / Not the one that you call at your worst / ‘Cause I won’t stick around," admits the artist. Rather than falsely presenting herself as the idealized romantic partner, bülow unapologetically shares her true feelings. "'booty call.' it's not a sad song. its not about pining after someone. more longing for a connection with no strings attached. i want to give power to this word. its always seen as such a negative thing. it doesn't have to be,“ adds the artists.

Following these atypical yet equally palpable subjects, bülow continues to explores less traditional feelings of intimacy in "Mona's Dad." The track details lusting after a friend's father and hoping that he thinks of her when he's with his wife. Think a modern "Stacy's Mom."

Its safe to say that bülow is pioneering a vulnerable, bold pop perspective. Paired with the delicately intoxicating nature of her vocals, Booty Call  is an empowering project that normalizes fluid and nontraditional forms of intimacy.
