Twins Coco & Breezy are all about the groove. The sisters dropped their hypnotic new single “Off My Mind,” featuring Sam White, last week just as the weather is starting to warm and it’s finally time to roll the windows down on the way to the pool party.

Laced with all the signature workings of a house groove, the track is bouncy and the production is reminiscent of the tropical house wave that absolutely took over the pop music scene in the mid-2010s. It’s a much-welcomed callback, while still feeling fresh and fun.

The synths in "Off My Mind" are intertwined with the sounds of congas, apparently an ode to their mother, who as they mention “used to wake us up at 6am playing the congas.” The twins love to lace their DNA and family roots into their production, combining the house music that they’re known for with Afro-Latin beats and R&B vibes. A few of these conversations between the sisters are sampled throughout the track which brings a personal and distinctive touch to Coco & Breezy’s unique vibe.

Coco & Breezy are absolutely artists to watch as they bring a breath of fresh air and soul into the dance music scene. They bring true creativity into their music, pulling inspiration from their background as dancers and blending their influences with finesse. But clearly what is most important to them is creating music that makes you want to get loose and dance, as they weaved into the fabric of the track, “it’s a feeling, it’s a vibe.”
