Mexican-American sierreño singer DannyLux continues to evolve in his latest single "Ciudad del Sol." The second release from the nineteen-year-old's upcoming album LP, the track is a banda-heavy effort that further cements his place at the forefront of the Música Mexicana movement.

The song starts with a sunny, pop-leaning intro before the sound of charchetas and requinto seep into the mix. Lux croons over the warm, eclectic production of poignant lines directed toward his love, assuring them they are destined to be together and reflecting on when he gave away his heart to her at the titular "Ciudad del Sol." In the intoxicating chorus, swoon-worthy instrumentation filled with bellowing horns, thrumming bass, and driving guitar strums back Lux as he makes plans to see his lover.

"This is one of my favorite songs to date," he shared in a press statement. "It's super romantic and the beat is so fun, a great look into what's coming up music-wise."

The accompanying music video, directed by Tevan, follows the rising star as he spends quality time with his groupmates Eddyjaee and Victor Ramos. "We had a lot of fun making this video," Lux adds. "It's just me and the guys hanging out, and it was important to incorporate them because we all wrote this song together."

The new track follows his collaboration with Leon Leiden, "Awitado:(" and solo single "Un Día Entenderás." The latter track and "Ciudad del Sol" are set to be featured on evoLUXion, a deluxe edition of his LP DLUX, which dropped last year, featuring songs like "Dime Que Hay Que Hacer" with Gabito Ballesteros and "Me Cambiaste" with Eslabón Aramdo. Throughout last year, the artist toured the United States and joined Becky G for her Tiny Desk debut. He's also set to return to Mexico for his 'Tour of Lux' tour, with more shows expected to be announced soon.
