ericdoa Releases the Irresistible "sweet tooth," Announces New Project 'DOA'
Rising artist and producer ericdoa continues to roll out hit after hit with the release of his latest single, "sweet tooth." The track is an endorphin-fueled effort set to appear on his forthcoming project DOA, set to release January 19, 2024, and features a magnetic blend of sweet and dreamy melodies.
"sweet tooth" opens with dreamy guitar riffs laced with flurries of glistening synths, grooving beats, and lowkey percussion patterns. His reflective lyricism intricately dives into themes of desire and temptation, weaving together an immersive experience of alternating emotions, irresistible cravings, and shared destructive tendencies. His addictive vocals croon over the stylistic production lines, singing, "Tell you something sweet, feel a pain in your rib / Only taste sugar on the end of your lips / Swear there ain't none purer / Than some love from my bitch."
According to Genius, while talking about the cover art on his Instagram story, he shared, "This very nice lady is Jeni, she is the cover of the project. While walking in Bushwick I met Jeni, she was with her daughter and husband selling some old clothing and household items. Seeing her and how welcoming she was reminded me immediately of the warmth of love outside of blood, she is a direct representation of the selfless maternal spirit that the latin women I grew up with carried and still carry to this day. I couldn't be more grateful she graced us with permission to use her likeness for my project."
The new single follows the release of ericdoa's previous hits, the melodic, mind-bending tracks "kickstand" and "dancinwitsomebawdy" to kick off his upcoming new album DOA. Last month, he also announced his eagerly awaited 'Dead On Arrival Tour.' With a growing fan base and a unique sound that continues to defy genre boundaries, the rising artist is ready to head back on the road for unforgettable performances. The 25-date tour kicks off on January 25 in San Diego and will make stops in numerous cities, including Austin, Atlanta, DC, New York, and more, before wrapping up in Los Angeles at The Belasco.
