Everything Changes in Catie Turner’s Cathartic New Single “I Might” [Premiere]

Songstress Catie Turner is evolving in her new single “I Might," with a beautiful music video to match. Following her 2024 string of singles “Last Name,” “Comedown,” and “Friends,” Catie is departing from being a Girl Scout and experiencing true connection for what feels like the first time. The music video for “I Might” is a glorious use of DIY green screens, featuring Catie singing along freely in front of a slew of visuals that range from natural beauty to manmade glory.

What starts off as a standard guitar strum turns into an unexpected melody as Catie describes, in striking visual language, her past intimate experiences. Feeling used and having to "fake it" are common experiences, but luckily for Catie, “I Might” describes the moment that all changed.

Although this song is about feeling pleasure in the bedroom, it’s more than that. Catie shares, “This song is for anyone who is learning how to live authentically in every area of their life.” “I Might” goes through the differences between something real and something forced, reflecting the weight off Catie’s shoulders after discovering what should’ve been happening all along. All of these complicated, relatable feelings are perfectly captured in this sweet dedication.

The accompanying music video for “I Might” echoes the quaint nature of the song with its noticeable green screen energy and quirky delivery as Catie sings along to her song that’s as silly as it is serious. The visuals are minimalistic, but say so much. There are the birds and the bees, a dry desert, and heart rates skyrocketing. Simplicity is the best backdrop to accentuate Catie’s passionate performance, which captivates the viewer from start to finish. Her intense connection to “I Might” shines through in both the colorful sonic world and matching visuals.
