Fontaines D.C is back and “It’s Amazing To Be Young” is their most ambitious release yet. Straight off a massive headlining tour, the Dublin punk ensemble comprised of Grian Chatten (vocals), Carlos O’Connell (guitar), Conor Curley (guitar), Conor Deegan (bass) and Tom Coll (drums) continue to level up their sound. Far more than a follow-up to their standout album Romance, “It’s Amazing To Be Young” is a beautifully raw, emotional anthem. Hitting just over three minutes, the track collides introspective post-punk with hypnotic textures that shatter the confines of any genre.

“It’s Amazing To Be Young” is a striking blend of raw inner turmoil and soothing reflection. Through lyrics that are both poetic and guttural, the track is a quiet explosion of optimism amidst the chaos of the modern world. “It’s the cost that brings you down / But it’s amazing to be young,” urges the band. At its core, “It’s Amazing To Be Young” captures the reflection of a cynical reality, and leaves listeners with a lullaby’s touch of hope.

To accompany the single is a stunning, must-see seven-minute video directed by BAFTA-winning filmmaker Luna Carmoon. Capturing the effervescent optimism of the track, the video is a masterclass that needs no spoilers.

Fontaines D.C. is currently gearing up for a world tour throughout 2025 across Asia, Australia, South America, and North America.
