Fresh off a standout performance at the iconic Stagecoach Festival and a major win at the Academy of Country Music Awards, rising country star Avery Anna is embracing a season of growth, authenticity, and creative confidence.
After hitting center stage at country music’s biggest festival, Avery is still taking in those magical 30 minutes.
“It still feels surreal,” she shared. “Not that long ago, I was playing shows with just me and a piano, so going from that to a full band on a major stage gives me a little bit of whiplash in the best way. It’s like the Super Bowl for country artists, so just being part of it is incredibly special.”
While on stage, Avery sang songs that gave every ear in the desert a glimpse into her deepest thoughts. That emotional honesty has become a defining trait of Avery’s music. Her songs continue to deeply connect with listeners because she stays open and authentic, even during the writing process.
“The most healing songs are always the ones where I feel like I’m being completely honest,” she said. “When I’m writing from a genuine place, it resonates in a way that feels meaningful not just for listeners but for me too.”
You can see that theme front and center on her latest EP, forgive, forget., which she describes as the beginning of a new artistic era. Songs like “Blood Runs Thicker” showcase a bolder sound, hinting at rock influences while staying rooted in country storytelling.
“This recent chapter of music really feels like me stepping into who I am,” Avery explained. “It’s the first time I feel like I’ve fully leaned into my sound and said it with my chest.”
Avery says the direction was intentional and reflects who she truly is as an artist.
“That song, and even incorporating ‘Bang Bang’ into performances, feels like a step into a sound that really represents my roots while also pushing things forward.”
Fans have quickly embraced the evolution. One of her most viral moments from concerts is her cover of “No More Tears” by Ozzy Osbourne. Videos of the performance have been streamed millions of times across social media platforms, with fans of all genres joining in to appreciate the rendition.
“You never really know what’s going to connect,” she admitted, “but seeing fans show up, sing along, and keep coming back to shows makes everything feel real.”
The whirlwind momentum continued when Avery was named New Female Artist of the Year at the 2026 ACM Awards. It was a picture-perfect moment captured on stage.
“I was genuinely so surprised,” she recalled. “I found out at Lone Star Smokeout in Texas just a couple days after Stagecoach, and it honestly felt like I got punched in the gut in the best way. My family surprised me, and my friend came out on stage to tell me. I’m still processing it, but I just feel incredibly grateful.”
Despite the rapid rise, Avery is taking in every second and not letting the moment or momentum pass her by.
“I’d probably tell the younger version of myself to stay present,” she reflected. “Things can move really fast, and it’s easy to get caught up in what’s next.”
That sense of authenticity extends beyond her music and into the way she connects with fans. One of the most beloved parts of her shows has become her “Debbie Downer” segment, a candid moment where Avery brings one fan on stage to receive a special gift.
“I want everything I do, whether it’s my music or my live shows, to feel real,” she said. “Connecting with fans in those moments just makes the experience more genuine for everyone.”
Avery also recently partnered with Arm & Hammer Laundry during Stagecoach, a collaboration she says felt authentic to her everyday life.
“My lifestyle on stage and off isn’t exactly clean and polished,” she explained. “I’m running around, sweating, getting my clothes dirty, and re-wearing stage outfits, so I need something that can truly keep up.”
As for what’s next, Avery says there’s plenty on the horizon, including more music, more performances, and opportunities outside of music that she’s eager to explore. One especially meaningful moment will be performing “Blood Runs Thicker” during the ACM Awards, a performance that is catapulting her even farther toward cementing herself as one of country music’s biggest rising stars.
“Everything just feels really exciting right now,” she said. “I’m trying to stay present and take it all in.”
