Uniqueness is a weapon, and there’s no one quite like horsegiirL. Whether she’s committed to the bit or a stray foal who simply stumbled onto the scene is nobody’s business. What remains true is that her awe-striking reign has gifted the dance scene gems, including her six-track EP, v.i.p - very important pony.

Featuring artists like DJ G2G and Namasenda, the Berlin-based DJ and producer is formally introducing her happy hardcore sound. It’s uplifting and intoxicating, while equally obscure and impossible to understand.

“material hor$e” is the opening track, a drunken declaration of power. “Money, fame and power really changed me / Maybe there’s more to life than farming on the daily” horsegiirL has tasted the big city and its accompanying attention, with no desire to leave blunt bangs and string bikinis behind any time soon.

“eat, sleep, slay” is the project’s lead single, garnering over one million streams and a cult following. It finds itself flooding dance floors as horsegiirL books DJ sets across the globe. Selling out shows from London to LA, her distinct flavor of hyperpop has become a worldwide fixation, cooking up a whirlwind of immersive, high-energy sound.

From farm and fame, this project proves horsegiirL is only getting more comfortable. As v.i.p - very important pony receives all its rightfully-earned love, horsegiirL writes via Instagram, “I’m just a foal from the farm at heart and to see the response and relentless support of all of you makes me tear up. Eternally grateful. I hope you enjoy this record, as much as I enjoyed making it!”
