Katya Mila's "Fake Friends" Welcomes Us Into Her World

It's Katya Mila's world and we're just living in it. For her final release of 2020, Katya Mila released her most intimate song to date. The song has resonated with many people who can relate to the feeling of being taken advantage of by somebody close to you. That's the story behind Mila's "Fake Friends."

Hailing from a small town in Northern California, Katya Mila is used to the small town vibes of everyone knowing each other. After moving to the big city of Los Angeles to follow her artistic dreams, she continued to struggle to find out who was real and who wasn't. On "Fake Friends," Mila welcomes us into her world to show us the real her; the intimate side we might not see through social media.

Aside from being able to connect with an audience lyrically, Mila portrays an incredible vocal performance. Her ability to hit her falsetto so effortlessly and elegantly is refreshing. The guitar tones accompany her soulful vocals with ease. The intertwining between the beat and bright guitar create a calming ambience while you're listening. As a new artist, Katya Mila seems to be doing everything right - finding her sound, her brand and her audience. With 2021 right around the corner, we're beyond excited to see what's next.
