KennyHoopla and Travis Barker Reunite Ahead of Blink-182 Tour For 'BLINK AND YOU'LL MISS IT//'

Alternative rising star KennyHoopla has finally followed up his 2021 Travis Barker-produced SURVIVOR'S GUILT: THE MIXTAPE// with the highly-anticipated release of his latest EP, BLINK AND YOU'LL MISS IT//. The three-track body of work is full of high-octane instrumentation and raw lyricism that serves as a peek into the artist's psyche during a time of evolution.

Regarding the EP, Kenny shares, "This capsule is just a batch of songs I made to accompany and celebrate the Blink tour! Some old ideas and some new. Just wanted to have fun and make music. There's a lot of nostalgia, grief, and even hope mixed in. BLINK AND YOU'LL MISS IT// just kind of represented this tour being a next level for me as an artist and how challenging it can be to live in the moment when the moment can feel unbelievable. Time flies, and there's no more time to waste. I'm also so honored to be putting out music with Travis for a second time, especially right before I join him on Blink-182's tour."

The infectious "SABOTAGE//" is chock-full of drum fills and sharp, crunchy guitar riffs. The energetic, two-minute banger opens with KennyHoopla "coming to terms with death and the stages of grief," admitting, "In the town that I'm from, you're lucky to make it this far." The energy between him and Barker is palpable, most prominently in the Blink-182 drummer's intricate fills and Kenny's howling, gut-punching lines like, "Always find another way to ruin things / Through suffering and sabotage / As if this life was ever in your odds / It takes a lie to fall apart," bouncing off each other with reckless abandon.

The record then transitions into the focus track, "MARRY KILL FUCK//." The rambunctious effort is filled with crashing percussion, raging guitar riffs, and cynical lyrics about a cruel lover who's stringing along the song's protagonist. He belts, "Marry, Kill, Fuck / Could you please pick one? / I am young and dumb / I'll never learn." As the song builds into an addictive collage of sonic chaos, KennyHoopla screams that he's "sure I'll die alone" and admits that he needs his partner more than they need him.

The record's closer, "T-SHIRT//," is an invigorating finale that sees our hero wrestle with the complexities of existence and trying to find joy in a world that constantly puts him down. With angst-fueled vocals, he addresses a society where "rock and roll is dead" and calls out its significant flaws before telling it to "fuck off."

The bombastic artist has an epic 2023 lined up. First, he plans to kick off his tour dates opening for Blink 182 in the US. Then he'll hit the road again, opening for Limp Bizkit in the UK before headlining his own 'RASIED BY WOLVES US' tour this fall.
