LØLØ Takes a "faceplant" For Love in Latest Single

Canadian rocker LØLØ is back with an exhilarating and charming new single, "faceplant." The anthemic track is jam-packed with robust guitar hooks, passionate vocals, and humorous, charismatic lyrics, creating the perfect sonic concoction that screams classic LØLØ.

The rowdy track opens with frenetic, glitzy guitars and LØLØ's resonant, gritty vocals, effortlessly capturing the visceral feeling of falling head over heels. While the instrumentals build out around her, she explains that her newfound infatuation is anything but gentle, with hands that make her "act up" and lips that make her "shut up." Her emotional turbulence is reflected in the thrashing, juggernaut chorus, which runs wild with chaotic, euphoric energy as LØLØ sings, "I didn't just fall I / faceplanted onto the floor / Never felt this feeling before / Oh god I - I - I'm down bad for you."

"Something you should know about me is when I fall for someone, I fall HARD," shares the singer. "How hard, you ask? Well, a few months ago, leaving a boy's house (who I promised myself multiple times I would never see again), I tripped and fell face-first into the concrete, earning me a broken jaw (on both sides), a broken nose, a broken chin, and four lovely stitches across my face. This was the day I realized that I had fallen undeniably & irrevocably in love with him. Actually, no. I didn't just fall, I faceplanted."

The accompanying music video, directed by Justin Alexis, is a lighthearted visual that sees the singer-songwriter riding her bike through the streets of suburbia while her bandmates construct wooden ramps. She puts on her helmet and readies herself Hot Rod style to make the jump, ultimately faceplanting and earning a black eye and a cut to the chin. Scenes of LØLØ and company performing the track in a garage intercut clips of the group watching back the stunt footage on VHS, ultimately attempting the same stunt again, but with a swimming pool as the obstacle.

"faceplant" comes amid LØLØ's North American tour with pop-punk icons Boys Like Girls and scene heavyweights State Champs. After that, she is set to keep the ball rolling, supporting Against The Current on a UK/European tour.
