With a first name like Peace, one would hope your temperament is fueled by friendship, house parties, and raves, with the love and thrill-filled tunes to back that up. Luckily for us, Surrey, UK artist, Peace Okezie, better known as Master Peace delivers all those tasty pieces of life influences together like honeycombed sweetness with his latest single "Save Me." Wanting to know more about how to make world peace a reality, we reached out via email to find out for ourselves. 

OnesToWatch: Who is Master Peace?

Master Peace: Master Peace aka Peace Okezie is a singer from Surrey that makes some of the best indie pop / sleaze music of our generation.

Besides saving us with this monster tune, what is "Save Me" all about? 

"Save Me" is about heartbreak and thinking that you had something special with someone but they can just leave out of nowhere with no sort of closure or anything and you feel a bit fucked off by it. 

We love the energy and bass synth sounds, how’d you settle on the track's vibe?

We were going for that indie sleaze / Prodigy vibe when we made the record, a little bit of French influence in it to, Justice / Daft Punk to it, wanted to have that erratic energy to it.

Any collaborations? Who produced the track?

Bagel Boyz ! Boon ! Sherwyn, kendo! Those guys are my brothers as well as Julian! Original bagel boy, they’ve been my continued collaborators through my debut album to this deluxe/EP.

Are you single-handedly trying to make music fun again? 

Someone’s gotta. Too many boring ideas. No one wants to push the boat out.

How would you describe your style? 

Indie sleaze slut pop.

What's inspiring you right now outside of music?

Nepotism, I want that for my kids.

Any venue I’d give it my best shot whether there’s a thousand people or one, the ceiling is gonna be sweating.

Charli xcx. I dunno if you’ve heard of her, what a queen .
