Primavera Sound is getting closer, and with acts spanning across genres and even generations, the sold out Barcelona festival truly has something for everyone. Included are some legends, like The Cure and Gorillaz and rising stars, such as Addison Rae and Geese. But what about those names you haven’t heard of? Here’s a list of some of the artists that we think should be on your festival itinerary.

berlioz

The British jazz house musician and DJ, also known as Ted Jasper has quietly built a world that feels both intimate and expansive, blending jazz, house and downtempo into something effortlessly transportive. With his debut album release in 2024 and a growing reputation for immersive live sets, his music leans into groove and atmosphere.

Skullcrusher

Skullcrusher makes music that feels almost weightless, built from hushed vocals and delicate guitar. The Los Angeles based artist leans into stillness rather than spectacle, creating songs that feel intimate without ever losing their sense of scale.

Ralphie Choo

Spanish Ralphie Choo exists in a world entirely of his own, blending hyperpop, flamenco and experimental electronics into something unpredictable and oddly emotional. As a core member of the Russia-IDK collective, he’s helped shape a new wave of Spanish music that refuses categorization. Make sure to check out his set if you want to dive deeper into this new scene.

NewDad

Fronted by Julie Dawson, the Irish indie band NewDad channels a hazy, melancholic energy that pulls from shoegaze, post-punk and dreamy alt-pop. With two studio albums and a live show that pairs shimmering guitars with introspective lyrics, their set is perfect for anyone looking to get lost in something a little darker.

Depresión Sonora

The project of Marcos Crespo has become a defining voice in Spain’s new underground scene, resonating with a generation drawn to its raw honesty. Madrid’s Depresión Sonora taps into a darker, more introspective corner of post-punk, pairing minimal production with lyrics that feel blunt and unfiltered.

Barry B

Barry B thrives in the space between chaos and control, blending indie rock, electronic textures and flashes of punk energy. A key figure in Spain’s current indie scene, his music carries a boundary pushing spirit clearly heard on his latest EP Infancia Mal Calibrada. Don’t miss his set at PS before a packed summer tour in 2026.
