Rising alt-pop rockers, People R Ugly, continue their takeover of the genre with the release of their dance-inducing new single, "WAKE UP." The group's harmony-filled new single is a unique blend of pure energy, sticky hooks, and soaring harmonies, wrapped in a story that feels all too familiar: that one unforgettable night out where everything stops the moment someone catches your eye.

The single paints a picture of someone dancing, and their energy instantly changes the vibes of the room, setting the tone for a story about attraction and connection. The tender vocals, paired with gentle instrumentation, create a dreamy atmosphere, making the song resonate with anyone who has experienced the surreal excitement of being with someone who changes the air around them. The accompanying music video is a hilarious and equally cinematic visual that sees the band go full Napoleon Dynamite, performing a dance number for a talent show attended by an icy crowd. Blink-182's Mark Hoppus even makes a fun cameo as the show's emcee. He cracks jokes to varying degrees of success and offers some sage, albeit crass, advice to the band before they take the stage for their big performance.

The single will feature on the band's highly anticipated debut album, GARAGE, out October 24, and will include previously released tracks like "Better" and "Thinkin Bout You." "We're beyond excited to finally share our debut album, GARAGE," the band shares. "Every song was created, written, and recorded in Zak's garage in Orange County (hence the name). This project is unlike anything we've ever made before. We had a blast experimenting, messing around, and pushing ourselves in new directions, and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out. We hope it makes you laugh, cry, dance, mosh, and maybe even smile at a surprise feature you won't see coming."
