ThxSoMch Ventures Off Into Enthralling New Sonic Territory in "LOST!"

Still riding the high of the success of his breakout 2022 single "SPIT IN MY FACE!," which has racked up over 330 million streams to date, and his stellar 2023 EP, Sleez, rising Toronto-based artist ThxSoMch unleashes himself on his new song, "LOST!" The track, produced by BYNX, channels the hard-hitting sound of the nu-metal he grew up on, with the artist rapping over production that evokes the unyielding, squallish energy of artists like Limp Bizkit and Korn.

"LOST!" sees old school turntable scratching tearing through steady drums as ThxSoMch launches into kinetic verses before warning, "Everybody shut up, I got something to say." Brooding bass lines, crashing cymbals, and angsty guitar lines add layers of delicious malice to the retro-inspired production, feeding into the sinister sonics of the track perfectly. Feverish choruses prop up the artist's signature raspy vocals and intoxicating energy, blurring into frenzied bars that demand listeners shut up, listen, and get lost with him in the mosh pit.

"I heard what BNYX was doing with Yeat, and I realized he's different," shares ThxSoMch about the fiery track. "I thought we could make some weird s together. I made 'LOST!" at 10am. I hadn't gone to sleep yet, and I was a little high. I drank two Red Bulls, and I was feeling a little out of my mind. I felt lost."

The track is accompanied by a creepy, bloody music video directed by frequent ThxSoMch collaborator Tommy Kiljoy. The visual opens with him strapped to a chair wearing a mysterious wired helmet while watching TVs playing nothing but white noise. What follows is a series of scenes that follow the artist and company as he embarks on a high-octane evening full of drugs and debauchery.

"LOST!" marks the first new music from ThxSoMch since the summer release of his singles "Waste My Mind" and "Spiral." The tracks maintained the momentum of ThxSoMch's critically acclaimed debut EP Sleez. Later this year, he will play his debut hometown show at Toronto's Bovine Sex Club on December 6.
