TRNSMT 2025: 8 Artists to Watch That Aren’t Headlining
TRNSMT is back at Glasgow Green from July 11–13th for its 8th year, bringing tens of thousands of festival goers for three days of genre-spanning music to the city centre. TRNSMT has become a key name in the UK festival scene, stepping into the spotlight after the end of T in the Park. While headliners like 50 Cent, The Script and Liam Gallagher are bound to pull the biggest crowds, some of the most exciting sets are happening away from the Main Stage. Here are 8 upcoming acts you cannot miss at TRNSMT 2025.
BIIG PIIG
Irish singer Biig Piig, has quietly been becoming one of the most exciting voices in alt-pop, effortlessly mixing English and Spanish in her music. She’s been dropping singles and EPs for a few years now with a bedroom pop sound but this year she finally released her debut earlier this year and we can’t wait to see her perform it on the King Tut’s Stage.
Nieve Ella
Nieve Ella’s been quickly growing momentum with her diary-style songwriting and punky indie-pop sound over the past two years, with a lot of her music blowing up on TikTok. Having recently toured with Bradley Simpson and Girl in Red, she’s already shown that she knows how to take over a stage. She is no stranger to TRNSMT and we’re excited to see her takeover the main stage for the first time.
HotWax
If you’re after something a little grungier, HotWax are a must-see. The trio have an adrenaline-fuelled punk energy and you’ll leave their set with their music stuck in your head. They’ve already Rocked stages at Reading, Latitude and All Points East, and their debut album Hot Shock released earlier this year.
Chloe Qisha
Chloe Qisha is doing pop her own way and we are here for it. Born in Malaysia and raised in the UK, her introspective music is unique and she has the potential to be a genre defining artist. Her influences range from Chappell Roan to Christine and the Queens, but what sets her apart is her songwriting. She’s clever, stylish and hilarious. Definitely one to watch.
James Marriott
James Marriott made a name for himself online doing YouTube before diving into music full-time, but don’t underestimate him, he’s proven he’s more than a YouTuber-turned-singer. His debut album Are We There Yet? reached #17 in the UK charts, and he’s built a strong indie-rock fanbase. Think The Strokes meets English awkwardness, in the best way.
Tanner Adell
Tanner Adell is bringing something new to TRNSMT and to country music in general. Her debut album Buckle Bunny introduced the world to her unique spin on country and she is known for her confidence and style. She recently featured on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter, and her energy is as bold as her music. Whether you’re a country fan or not, she’s worth checking out.
Confidence Man
If you want pure fun and a great fan experience, Confidence Man are the set to see. The Aussie rave-popduo outfit are unapologetically loud, outrageous and chaotic in the best way possible. Reviewers in the past have described them as “The most fun you can have at a gig.” If that doesn’t make you want to go see their set, I don’t know what will.
Good Neighbours
Good Neighbours only formed in 2023, but they’ve already made a big impact. Their debut single “Home” dropped in January 2024, quickly gaining critical acclaim, chart success, and viral traction on TikTok and Instagram. But they’re no one-hit wonder and the momentum hasn’t slowed. The duo, made up of Scott Verrill and Oli Fox, continue to sell out tours and release singles that only get stronger with each release. With their signature indie-pop sound and amazing stage presence, Good Neighbours are destined for the main stage at TRNSMT. Catch them at this intimate set while you still can.
