Unflirt Takes Us Through a Period of Transformation in 'April's Nectar'

Unflirt's hard work and dedication have paid off with the release of her sophomore EP, April's Nectar. Her mesmerizing blend of unique and versatile vocals and innovative and genre-defying production is a testament to the power of creativity and passion.

Christine, better known by her audience as Unflirt, is a musician from West London who began her musical journey creating tracks in the comfort of her bedroom. She skillfully blended beloved ethereal bedroom pop with shoegaze and indie rock to create the unique sound she is known for today. Her music perfectly blurs dreamy and introspective melodies with a touch of rock-inspired grit.

April's Nectar is described by Unflirt as an immersive experience that embodies elevated sensations, bittersweet emotions, warm feelings, cathartic release, and a sense of reality. April's Nectar bears the name of a transformative month in the life of the rising artist, one marked by a series of positive changes in her life. The five songs reflect her personal growth and transformation during that period. Each track captures a unique aspect of her journey—from challenges to triumphs, from the soaring highs to the crushing lows—every moment is brought to life with a depth and richness that is both captivating and profoundly moving.

“This EP is the ups and downs and everything in between of what comes with the reality of love and your early twenties,” shares Unflirt. “In the moments I wrote each song, it felt like free therapy and was definitely something I used quite frequently to try to understand how I was feeling and what was going on in my life. I wrote some songs in my room with my guitar and some in the studio when I decided to wing it and see what emotions would come out that day.”

Through her music, she invites listeners to join her on this transformative journey and experience the emotions and insights that inspired her creative process. Whether you're a fan of the genre or simply appreciate great music, this EP is a must-listen for anyone who wants to experience the full spectrum of human emotion in all its glory.

The production of the EP was crafted by Mack Jamieson, who has previously worked with artists such as Clavish, Wallice, and Mahalia. In addition, Iain Berryman and Bastian Langebæk, who have worked with artists like Olivia Dean, Nilüfer Yanya, and Birdy, also contributed to the EP. After performing at Live at Leeds and All Points East Festival and opening for Beabadoobee, she made her debut solo performance earlier this month.
