About This Chicago Production

Kokandy Productions’ Jekyll & Hyde is the first Chicago staging of the musical in over 15 years. The musical, based on Robert Louis Stevenson’s novella, features a pop-rock score performed by a 15-piece orchestra. Frank Wildhorn and Steve Cuden conceived the show for the stage. Leslie Bricusse wrote the book and lyrics, and Wildhorn composed the music. This production marks Kokandy’s Broadway In Chicago debut, transferring from a sold-out run at the Chopin Theatre to the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place.

For the 2026 Broadway Playhouse remount, Jeff Award winners David Moreland (Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde), Ava Lane Stovall (Lucy Harris), and Emily McCormick (Emma Carew) lead the cast. Direction is by Derek Van Barham, with music direction by Nick Sula and choreography by Brenda Didier. The production is a co-presentation with Broadway In Chicago.
