Aidan Martin Proves "Good Things Take Time" With Major Label Debut

The proverbial saying "all things come to those who wait" is a tried and true ideal, but one that is often overlooked in today's society of immediate gratification. The journey that is essential to reaching one's glorified destination can be easily forgotten, particularly in an industry where the blood, sweat, and tears of an artists' career are often carefully kept behind the scenes. Here to shine a light on the turbulent road to success is Aidan Martin and his major label debut single, "Good Things Take Time."
Hailing from the small town of Newcastle in North-Eastern England, Martin often recalls feeling like an outsider in his adolescence. A creative through in through, blessed with a remarkable voice, he was viewed as a wunderkind amongst his peers. Picking up the piano on his own at an early age, he went on to study voice at the prestigious art institute Sage Gateshead. At the ripe age of 17, he made his big move to London to pursue his dream professionally. A newcomer to this metropolitan landscape, he swiftly fell into the subculture of the city, where he found himself indulging in a life of drugs and excess, losing sight of himself and his dedication to his craft in the process.
On the brink of a full-blown breakdown, Martin was close to giving up on his aspirations entirely, or at least that was the case until he re-discovered his love for music through penning songs that chronicled his inner turmoil. During this time he wrote a collection of over 500 songs, one of which was "Good Things Take Time." Co-written with Rà˜RY and Carl Ryden, who shared similar experiences, Martin recalls writing the song through misty eyes, rejoicing together with Rà˜RY and Ryden in the elation of coming out the other side of darkness stronger than they had ever been before.
Hence why "Good Things Take Time" strikes a chord close to the hearts of many. A concept that is both relatable to the masses but deeply personal to Martin, the emotional fluidity of the track paired with his outstanding vocal performance creates a heart-wrenching yet overwhelmingly hopeful experience.
When looking back on his journey Martin shares, "My songs represent a collection of stories from someone who has faced their demons head-on and is stronger now for it. My past, though painful, is a beautiful part of who I am. Accepting and relishing in this has been an essential catharsis for me. Being on the other side now, I hope my story can act as a source of hope for others. A reminder that you are more than the chains that bind you and that good things really do take time."
Released with a visual companion that expounds upon his story through symbolism and surrealism, Martin ascends a seemingly endless staircase of an antique building, symbolizing the recurring struggles in his life. On his way up, he looks into different rooms representing various life phases where these hardships manifest before his eyes. Relishing in the power of vulnerability, Martin creates a safe space for his fans to acknowledge their pain and accept themselves as they are, perfectly imperfect.
Following his previous success as an independent artist, garnering 30 million Spotify streams and top positions such as #4 in the UK Singer-Songwriter chart and Spotify's Top 50 Viral Chart (UK /Ireland), "Good Things Take Time" marks his first release through major label Warner Music, Germany.
