Jacob Collier and Daniel Caesar Are a Match Made in R&B Heaven

At only 25, Jacob Collier already has a staggering amount of accolades under his belt. He's racked up several GRAMMY nominations, collaborated with Coldplay, and is on the verge of melting you into a puddle with his single "Time Alone With You." R&B hotshot Daniel Caesar joins Collie on the track, injecting his trademark sultry energy. The likely pair are far from strangers, having joined one another at their various live shows throughout 2018 and linking up on Caesar's "Restore The Feeling."

"Time Alone With You" is Collier's first release from  part three of his long-awaited four-part album, Djesse Vol. 3. The dazzling flurry of experimental harmonies between the two was recorded in Collier's home studio in London. Collier and Caesar don't hold back with the level of jazz and flair on the track. The two take advantage of their youthful skill. In "Time Alone With You," they clearly have a lot of fun exploring, poking, prodding, and bending the rules classic jazz has set around the measure, meter, and vocal form.

This song specifically is a comprehensive expression of Collier's artistry. With the exception of the trumpet and flugelhorn work done by James Copus, every other instrumental piece in "Time Alone With You" is done by Collier's own hand. Not only that, but the visual was directed and edited solely by Collier as well.

Check out Collier's bold work of art below, and catch him on tour this spring throughout Europe and North America.
