Lucky Daye Drops Surprise Single, "Buying Time," Right Before Headlining Tour

Lucky Daye knows how to make the most of a moment. The R&B maven just released a new single called "Buying Time." The tune comes just ahead of his fast approaching fall tour 'The Painted Tour.' Somehow, Daye found time to give us a little something special, how lucky are we?! The New Orleans native captivated us with earworms like "Roll Some Mo" and "Karma," and after such a remarkable official debut with Painted, Daye put himself in position to become the next biggest thing in R&B.

"Buying Time" is officially out, and it's a beauty. Sensitive and acoustic, the tune is tender but not too mellow. It's filled with calming chords that the song rests upon. Lucky Daye's harmonies are as angelic as they always are. The feeling you get listening to "Buying Time" is like floating in the ocean right as the sun sets, soothing and vivid.

Listen below and get lost in the feeling.

'The Painted Tour' begins on Sept. 20, Lucky Daye's first ever set of headlining shows. With 25 upcoming stops, it'll be nearly impossible to miss him this fall. Grab tickets to see him in your city here!
