Monsune Treats Us to the Grooviest Synths & Childish Gambino-esque Vocals In "Outta My Mind"

It's been two years since Monsune's exciting debut, which was, oddly enough, when we last heard from the mysterious bedroom pop singer. A self-made artist in his own right, Monsune independently creates his own music and proudly directs his own visuals. For over a year, the incredible catchy "Nothing In Return" was what defined Scott Zhang's Toronto-based moniker, but now he's ready to share yet another fantastic single, "Outta My Mind."

Monsune's utterly soulful vocals blended with his steady ear for tasteful pop melodies are more than enough to win us over. Mixed by Jeff Ellis (Frank Ocean, Kali Uchis), "Outta My Mind" features the waviest synths and Childish Gambino-esque vocals that will surely blow your mind. The accompanying one-take music video pans in on Monsune playing Mahjong as a fight breaks out for no apparent reason, which is suitable for Monsune's quirky character.

Monsune shared on his Instagram,

"'Outta My Mind' out on all platforms. Written & produced by me, mixed by the bruv @jeffellisworldwide. Photo by @brahny_. Stream that shitttt."
