Lowa may have only launched his solo project in 2020, but he has been honing impressive skills in making music since the time he was the guitarist of the Hong Kong indie band “Pandora”. Growing up in Cheung Chau, a small, dumb-bell-shaped island that is always appealing to people keen to escape the hectic city life. This place is more than just a place called “home”, but also the inspiration for most of his tunes. “Ferry”, the means of transportation that get to and leaves Cheung Chau, is an important space to Lowa. “Every time I take the ferry to the city, I seem to be forcibly slowing down my pace and taking time to enjoy the feeling of floating. So there is a kind of softness in my songs.” Lowa’s single covers were all taken in Cheung Chau, and his latest MV also shot here. You will be given a new sensation when listening to Lowa’s song with the sea view.
At the age of 16, Lowa participated in a band training class during the summer holidays, and he instantly fell in love with playing instruments. Later he joined the band “Pandora” as a guitarist, and he also uploaded cover videos on YouTube. In 2020, he quit the band and pursue a solo career. He has released 6 singles until now, in which he arranges all the music and writes his own lyrics. His upcoming single will collaborate with homegrown rapper Luna Is ABep and CHANKA.
