Actress Vera Farmiga and The Yagas Channel Nightmarish Imagery For Haunting New Single "She's Walking Down" | THE NOISE

From terrifying moviegoers with the beloved Conjuring series to now offering haunting synth rock courtesy of her new band The Yagas -- yes, like the Slavic folklore figure Baba Yaga who was believed to devour souls -- Oscar and Emmy-nominated actress Vera Farmiga cannot be stopped.

For their first new single of 2025, which follows up last year's powerful release "The Crying Room," Farmiga and Co. take nightmarish, traumatic imagery and flip the script to provide a pummeling three-minute and 20-second soundscape called "She's Walking Down."

Despite her penchant for horror and scaring others, Farmiga admits that the Yaga's new single was actually inspired by her own personal fears. On the harrowing new single driven by a heart-pulsing rhythm, Farmiga says, “I’d been reading a lot about child trafficking, which eventually entered my dreamscape. As a way to work out my fear, I decided to write a song where the protagonist from those nightmares turns the tables on her abuser and finally puts an end to everything.”

To check out the commanding new single and accompanying music video directed by the multi-talented Farmiga herself, be sure to look below. Afterward, for more from the Yagas, head here.
