Cafuné, the brainchild of Noah Yoo and Sedona Schat, unveils a unique blend of tangible and electronic elements in their upcoming album Bite Reality on their latest single, "Temporary Lover," featuring hyperpop phenom Riovaz. This blend, which offsets Riovaz's breezy lyrical flow with a rampaging, pulsing beat, results in a purely danceable electro-pop. The song masterfully watches as a relationship slips away through the cracks, adding an intriguing twist to the electronic genre.

From the start, the sonics pulse with driving kicks and snares, layered with thick bass that sets the foundation for Schat's and Riovaz's vocals to soar. While Schat's vocal melodies, especially in the opening verse, punch, Riovaz's ice the bruise. Her high energy allows Rio's to be a mellow respite in a song that can best be described as a storm of sound. The hook is insanely catchy with its staccato-like delivery from Schat, adding an extra layer of rhythm to an already pulsing, emotionally textured arrangement.

Riovaz's presence on this track is more than fitting; it's emotionally resonant. He adds a soulful layer of yearning, intensifying the sense of missing someone, while also anchoring the track amid the sonic chaos swirling around the vocalists. His emotional depth connects with the listener, making the experience more than just a danceable electro-pop song.

"We first learned about Riovaz a few years ago after he covered one of our tunes, and were instantly drawn to his unique style of yearning club music," says Cafuné's Noah Yoo. "I was listening to him a lot when we wrote 'Temporary Lover,' so to have him be a part of the final record feels full circle."

The new single will feature on the duo's highly anticipated upcoming album, Bite Reality, which will arrive on September 12. As the pair stare head-on into a world of digital degradation, they use this record to ask the big question, "What does humanity look like in an era increasingly defined by AI, algorithms, and artificial intimacy?" Additionally, this fall, Cafuné will set out on their most extensive headline tour to date, the Alive Online Tour with support from crushed.
