Carter Vail Releases Electrifying New Single "Stunner"

Carter Vail delivers a tongue-in-cheek love story full of passion and dread on his latest single, "Stunner." Blending the best of indie rock and modern alt-pop, the track is an indie anthem and future classic, in my opinion, that punches hard with a raw, unfiltered edge.

Bursting with head bob-inducing percussion patterns and electrifying guitar riffs, Vail delves into the turbulent aftermath of a passionate but destructive relationship. His witty lyricism and infectious vocals produce a sharp and cinematic sound that sucks you right into the world he's so carefully created. This tale of toxic love builds up to a driving, hook-filled chorus, where Vail croons, "Losin' you has got me on fire/ And I don't wanna leave it this way," channeling fiery heartbreak and longing, capturing the emotional rollercoaster of love and loss.

"'Stunner' is about a love story, but one that leaves you feeling like roadkill," shared Vail about the single. "Less Jim & Pam, more Jigsaw and his victims. The best kind of love there is. I wrote and recorded it in my house, and it's my favorite."

"Stunner" follows the success of his previous release, "Baked Alaska," and his critically praised album 100 Cowboys. On his sophomore LP, Vail continues to deliver his signature turbocharged, alt-pop sound—but with a deeper emotional edge. Inspired by a difficult breakup, the album features his most raw and personal lyrics, charting a journey of heartbreak and healing, wrapped in his unmistakable charm and buoyant energy. It's a record that blends the anthemic with the intimate, reflecting the complexities of love and loss through Carter's playful yet poignant lens.

With Vail currently back in the studio and a set at Lollapalooza on the horizon, fans can expect more of his signature blend of humor, heart, and infectious energy in his upcoming releases this year.
