DannyLux Revisits His Debut Album With a Striking Display of ‘EVOLUXIÓN’

Mexican-American artist, producer, and musician DannyLux raises the bar with the release of his fifth studio album EVOLUXIÓN. The deluxe version of his critically acclaimed debut album, DLUX, showcases a bolder and more mature DannyLux, evident in the lyrics and his continuous experimentation with different genres, a true evolution of his artistry. The seven new tracks, produced and written by DannyLux, capture the young romantic's essence, not shying away from creating spectacularly relatable songs about love, heartache, and vulnerability.

"MALDITO ALCOHOL" opens the extended version of the hit album, bringing a refreshing take on his sierreño sound. In the moody, horn-heavy track, Lux pours his heart out to his lover, saying that he will continue to show his love and affection for her despite those who wish to not see them together. As the rich instrument continues in this declaration of love, he promises to his partner that he only has eyes for her and has decided to leave the rockstar life behind. "CIUDAD DEL SOL" is a banda-heavy effort led with a sunny, pop-leaning intro before the sound of charchetas and requinto seep into the mix. Lux croons over the warm, eclectic production of poignant lines directed toward his love, assuring them they are destined to be together and reflecting on when he gave away his heart to her at the titular "Ciudad del Sol."

Other standout tracks include "FRACASO" with Alejandro Buelna, "YA VAN VARIOS DIAS," "CONTROL," and fan favorite "Un Día Entenderás." The latter track speaks to the heartache that comes at the end of a loving relationship. This feeling can be heard through the melancholic guitar melodies and poignant lyrics that tell a story about trying to save a relationship. In the end, our narrator's efforts amount to nothing, and in trying to make his partner happy, he loses his sense of identity.

The album closer, "HOUSE OF LUX 2," is a stellar sequel to its predecessor, "HOUSE OF LUX." With its underlying house beats fusing with pop and EDM elements, Lux creates an energetic and vibrant atmosphere. He croons over the lush production lines about wanting to treat his lover like a princess, showering her with gifts and whatever she desires. His bright vocals and sweet delivery bring the lyrics to life, conveying his conviction and leaving a lasting impression on the listener from start to finish.

Recently, DannyLux teamed up with altruistic impact-driven creator Jesús Morales to participate in the creator's celebrated street vendor buyout campaigns. Together, they raised over $84K for Pilar, an 80-year-old street vendor from Los Angeles, hoping to retire and return to Mexico, making this Morales' biggest campaign to date. DannyLux is currently gearing up for his 36-city Tour Of Lux with stops all over the US and Mexico featuring special guests Erre, Dariell Cano, and Alta Elegancia, which kicks off March 8. He will also perform at the prestigious Vive Latino music festival in Mexico City on March 17.
