David Michael Frank Drops Impactful "So What" Ahead Of Private Party Tour | THE NOISE

Multi-instrumentalist and viral content creator David Michael Frank has finally shared his long-awaited new single “So What." The track, which will be included on his debut LP out in early 2024, comes ahead of his revolutionary Private Party Tour, which features 24 self-rented venues across the U.S. and is supported by alt/emo collective Riot House.

“So What,” played and produced entirely by Frank, shows off his captivating three-octave vocal range and displays his prowess as a poignant songwriter. Opening with an engaging blend of catchy guitar riffs, steady percussion, and thrumming bass lines, Frank explores themes of heartbreak with a gut-punching vulnerability. The single amplifies into a mosh-worthy concoction as he belts, "So what, my bad luck is looking up," as raging guitars and crashing drum patterns frame his highly emotive vocals.

'"So What' delves into the emotions of heartbreak and the struggle to move on from a painful past relationship as it develops into defiance and dismissive acceptance," says David on the track. "It captures the raw emotions of heartbreak, vulnerability, and the struggle to let go of a painful past while trying to find the strength in moving forward."

Following the single release, Frank will embark on his month-long Private Party Tour, which aims to think outside the traditional touring norm. Fueled by the frustration of waiting for opportunities to come to him, DMF created his own reality of opportunity. Instead of playing conventional venues and collaborating with promoters/teams in a competitive touring marketplace, David took the bold step of outright renting 24 venues up front, believing in himself at a time when he felt like no one else was believing in him.

By renting venues, each concert on the Private Party Tour becomes an exclusive "Private Party," featuring food, alcohol (licensed), and local tattoo artists, who will keep the entirety of their profits. DMF's innovative approach challenges the affordability of touring for artists of all sizes, potentially disrupting the entire touring industry and attracting major brand partners while also shining a light on the industry's darker aspects. The tour will take place in some of the most extraordinary concert spaces imaginable, from unique theaters and old churches to beautiful wedding venues and hidden underground gems. The DMF Private Party Tour aims to blur the lines between the audience and the stage, creating an incredibly intimate and immersive concert-going experience.
