Dounia - "LOWKEY GRL" [Live + Interview] | All Eyes On

All eyes are on Dounia, the forward-thinking voice of a generation. Raised in Queens and Morocco, the up-and-coming R&B sensation has garnered millions of plays and widespread critical praise, all while championing LGBTQ+ rights and promoting body positivity. We had the pleasure of inviting the social activist and rising artist to perform her standout single "LOWKEY GRL," featuring her alter ego Moroccan Doll, and sit down with the future R&B queen in an exclusive interview.

A blend of airy hip-hop and R&B, at times sung and rapped in multiple languages, Dounia's music is simply intoxicating. It is a sound the rising R&B artist honed in her acclaimed sophomore project The Avant-Garden and one she continues to develop with each new stirring release. Add Dounia's defiant musical persona, which often embodies a host of moods and alter egos, to her noted work as a social activist, and you have the exact sort of artist we need in 2019 and beyond. This year and the ones to come belong to Dounia.
