A long-awaited return, Flwr Chyld is back and with good company. The first single off his upcoming joint album with southern certified lover boy Grimm Lynn, “Move” is a sensual cocktail of push, pull, and longing.

With frequent collaborator Planet Giza supplying honey-like vocals, “Move” is a psychedelic soliloquy with notes of Musiq Soulchyld and Kaytranada. As hills bloom and days lengthen, our bodies are rejoicing at the warmth of the sun’s kiss, and it’s very evident that’s just what this joint project aims to usher in. With a sound that begs for skin-to-skin, there’s something intrinsically sexy about “Move” that bows to the honest roots of R&B—lust and day parties.

Having toured together in the summer of 2023, Grimm Lynn and Flwr Chyld share a potent musical chemistry that had to take shape or it would otherwise combust. As fate has it, we finally get a taste of what’s been in the works with “Move,” which showcases both artists’ growth over the last year of touring, creating, and living.

Having just contributed to Soulection’s 13th Anniversary mixtape, it’s clear R&B sommelier Flwr Chyld is capturing the attention of both those spearheading the genre and those on the come-up. A master of his craft who’s humble enough to forever remain a student, Flwr Chyld wouldn’t be back if he wasn’t ready to offer something delicious and fully cooked. With much anticipation for the entirety of this joint project, it’s safe to say it’s going to be a sweaty summer.
