From Finance to Sold-Out Shows: Ike Dweck’s Dream Turned Reality

From millions of streams to sold out shows on his first ever tour, Ike Dweck’s songs filled with angst and soul crushing truths are catching ears nationwide.

His newest single “End of Me” brings forth emotions and deep cuts stemming from a post break-up phone call in its folk-rock inspired sound.

“I was an idiot. Like… I answered and things spiraled out from there. I started that song like an hour after we hung up. I picked up my guitar and that was the first verse,” he says.

The raw, authentic storyline keeps his audience engaged and tied to every lyric and line. Finding pieces of their own lives inside the world he seamlessly weaves between different inspirations and hard hitting moments to create.

The vulnerability wasn’t easy from the jump. He says he often used metaphors as a shield from the hard truth, but as he has continued to put pen to paper and find his voice, walls have come down and pages of his diary are out on full display.

“I’ll use metaphors as a way of trying to beat around the bush of what I’m actually trying to say because saying what you actually want to say is sometimes scarier.”

Hidden behind every lyric is still a college kid in 2020 who never thought music would be his full time job.

“Music was always something that I enjoyed having in my life, but it was never something like I was like, oh, I'm gonna pursue music,” he says.

But during his second semester of freshman year at NYU, that all changed. COVID hit and left him like most during quarantine, bored and picking up new hobbies. Posting funny videos on TikTok turned into a cover of a song that he says snowballed into a career he never thought could be reality.

“Everybody was on TikTok, and eventually I started posting. I threw up a cover and someone reached out to me and was like, ‘Oh my God, I love this. Do you make music?’ and I was like, no, but I can,” he remembers.

From then on, he was hooked. Ditching finance for a social media position to fund his music career, with all his free time dedicated to his craft. Without a doubt, that sacrifice has paid off.

“I worked for this social media company for 2 years so that I could fund my music… it was really difficult,” he said. “Eventually things got to a place where I could support myself off my music. In January of 2025, after I released “Bridges”, my stuff started going up and I could quit my job.”

Now, his daily routine consists of writing songs that connect him and his fans in a shared space of reflection and yearning.

“Every time I write a song, I learn something new about myself. You think no one else is feeling what you’re feeling," he explains. “Then people are like, ‘Oh my God, wait, I’m going through something like this’… and then it clicks for me.”

Ike has gotten to see the shared experiences up close as he just started his first ever tour. Selling out many dates across North America, and even adding new ones due to demand.

“I'm feeling more excitement than nerves in general, which is always a good thing,” he says.

That’s not the only uncharted territory being explored. Dweck also has his debut album in the works, creating a full world behind every heartbreak beat.

“I’m working on an album… I’m finally growing into the sound that I think fits my lyricism and my music the best… The songs that encapsulate [my] sound the best aren’t released yet, and it feels so refreshing to finally feel like I found [it],” he said.

To get a sneak peek at new music and hear some of your favorite Ike Dweck songs live, make sure to catch a show in a city near you and experience all the feels up close and personal.
