Haviah Mighty - "Blame" [Live + Interview] | Northside Sessions

Haviah Mighty is a name you need to know and one you will likely be hearing a lot more from here on out. After all, the Brampton, Ontario, artist just went home with the 2019 Polaris Music Prize. Awarded to the best full-length Canadian album every year, Mighty's debut album, 13th Floor, beat out the likes of Jessie Reyez and PUP. In celebration of Mighty and the recent massive victory, we had the honor of highlighting the Ontario artist at our most recent Northside Sessions.

Lighting up our Toronto stage with her explosive, technical flow, Haviah Mighty delivered a live rendition of "Blame" that showed first-hand why she deserved to go home with this year's Polaris Prize. And be sure to stick around as we speak with the Polaris Prize winner about how she found her overflowing confidence, how she found a home in hip-hop, and so much more.
