INJI Isn't Here to Settle For Anything Less Than "THE ONE"

I don’t blame you for leaning into a few guilty pleasures as we dredge through short, cold, and dark January days. Whether you’ve been exclusively listening to 2000s throwbacks or hibernating in your free time, there’s no better opportunity to enjoy the comforts of life as we wait for warm weather and better vibes. Personally, there’s nothing that drags me out of a winter funk quicker than booming, captivating electronic music, and viral artist INJI has delivered a healthy dose right in time with her new single "THE ONE."
You might recognize INJI’s driving, magnetic sound from smash hits like "GASLIGHT," a melodic electronic beat that has been used in over one million TikTok videos since users first heard the Turkish-born singer utter the words “When I walked in the club, everything changed when I walked in the club” back in April 2022. Since then, UPENN student and rising star Inci Gurun has continued to release bangers such as ‘MADELINE,’ and now "THE ONE," another upbeat, intoxicating sonic experience that speaks to finding your dream person and rejecting anything less.
Ready to capture listeners from the jump, "THE ONE" brings immediate energy with a punching pre-chorus/chorus introduction that falls into a sassy, spoken first verse describing her luck—or lack thereof—when looking for a suitable partner; “Every guy I see like John, Josh, Joe and Kevin / Thinks they hold the key, the key for me to love them / Put all of y'all together, like literally all added up / Still not good enough for me, nope,” she sings. Determined to find “the one,” INJI rides looping and swelling synths that force you to move, literally, with the music. Fans are already ecstatic with the new release, sharing their reactions with INJI on social media with comments on one video ranging from “this song has been on loop all day” to “...I wish it was in my bloodstream”.
If you haven’t gotten the chance to listen to INJI yet, check out her newest track ‘THE ONE’ so you can say “I remember when...” as INJI continues to inch toward dominating the electronic music scene.
