Kareen Lomax (pronounced kah-RIN) comes from humble beginnings. She first saw success unexpectedly after her debut "Melatonin" took off. But shortly after that Lomax was just trying to figure things out for herself. As much as her well crafted atl-soul single "Hard Feelings" is about letting go, it's also about Lomax's return to herself both mentally and physically.

With success came a bit of loss of sight on her behalf. She needed to make a change. That change led the singer-songwriter back to her hometown of Atlanta where she got to reset. In her own words, "Hard Feelings" is about, "her life coming full circle, back to the place where it all began." A sense of freedom and lack of restriction is what Lomax is embracing with the new single.

The bassline rumbles while Lomax seasons the beat with her rich deep vocals. Her words here tell a story - one inspired by her own truth. What happens to the mind of a person whose life seems to change overnight in a way that may not actually be forever? In "Hard Feelings" Lomax fights for her time and to claim her place. She shared with us,

" 'Hard Feelings' is the start of me taking the gloves off for a seat at the table in this world and industry. I had just survived setback after setback in my business and relationships, and was being constantly brought up just to be torn down. I found my strength and my purpose in this song to be living proof that no-one can tell you who you are but you."
