Indie neo-pysch and folk artist M.Byrd is blessing our ears and bringing a bit of comfort to our lives with his new single “Morning Sun.” The raw, yet polished production of this single will give you a whole new appreciation for simple, stripped-back acoustic guitar.

Embodying the mystical beauty of a gentle but powerful rising sun, the track takes on a relatively minimalistic soundscape, mostly drawing in on acoustic instruments in their unadulterated forms to produce a shimmering, angelic flare. Taking a steady heartbeat pace, the track is layered in floating sounds, crashing ocean waves, and running echoing riffs that wash over the song in a delicate dance. It's an escape from the real world and a moment to strip away all the negative vibes.

The accompanying video is just as divine as the track, showingcasing a contemporary dancer basking in the freedom of being lit up by a blood-red light as the sun quietly rises behind her. The songwriter shares, "'Morning Sun' has become a kind of morning mantra for me. The idea came to me a few years ago in the morning right after I got up and it came back to me subsequently over and over again, like a kind of entry into meditation, until I finally recorded it and arranged it into form.“ This tune is just pure paradise.

After his first release shooting up to nearly two million streams on Spotify alone, M.Byrd is back for more. "Morning Sun" is just as dreamy as we’d hoped, and it’s a mirror reflection of the morning sun rising. Letting listeners wake up in the dewy fog of the morning hours, the single is the perfect way to take a pause from our busy lives and appreciate the beauty in the world.
