Noah Rinker’s 'Burning Daylight' Is an Authentic and Hopeful Journey Through Life and Music

Seamlessly blending folk and pop, Noah Rinker’s new EP is a heartfelt journey that pulls at your emotions and sparks the urge to drive—with no destination, just the music and the moment.

With his new EP, Burning Daylight, Rinker taps into his roots based out of a small town outside of Yosemite Park. Just him, a guitar, and a growing singer/songwriter presence, taking listeners on an emotional journey through life’s many experiences.

“We’ve got songs like ‘99’ that are really gonna be great for ripping around in a truck and going with the windows down. And something as intimate as ‘No Friend of Mine,’ which is just me and a guitar with a few simple truths,” Noah says.

After releasing his debut EP After Dark in 2024, Noah has surpassed 1.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify and gained hundreds of thousands of followers across various social media platforms.

“The growing process is something I am very present in right now,” he says. “I am trying to take in and soak up all of the things that are happening all at once, but also remaining as true to myself as I can be.”

For his new EP, Noah says he’s excited to share a more hopeful energy across the six-track collection.

“This EP I am really excited for because it has some songs that are a lot more high energy and some of my biggest sounding records,” Rinker expressed.

At the core of his music is a 22-year-old artist seeking to connect with an audience who can relate to life’s experiences alongside him.

“I really search and scour for things that move me,” he says. “My favorite music is stuff that really hits me in the heart and I try my best to emulate that with my own stuff, and make songs that hit me and hopefully will hit other people the same way or whatever way they interpret it as.”

Growing up in a small town by the mountains, Noah was no stranger to a slow-paced lifestyle. He took that grounded upbringing and turned to TikTok, performing covers and eventually sharing his own songs by the campfire. That mix of authenticity and raw talent quickly catapulted his career to where it is today.

“I just started sitting down by the campfire and recording some songs that I had written a little over a year ago,” he expresses. “I wanted it to feel as close to home as I can make it, so people can have a little escape into my world… I really wanted to offer a just raw, ‘here’s the song, here’s what I wrote today,’ and hopefully you like it. Then, I would record those in my bedroom.”

The audience truly does escape into his world. When Noah takes the stage, fans sing back lyrics that feel like journal entries from his everyday life. Those moments stick with him, especially during one special part of every show.

“During the harmonica solo in my song ‘Save my Soul,’ when I’m on stage and playing that solo, it all just feels real to me every time,” he says. “I can’t really replicate that moment, it’s different every time, but I feel so connected and grounded in that moment.”

Heading back on tour this summer, Rinker is excited to add his new songs to the setlist—especially “99.”

“'99' is a really fun, high energy song that is just so fun to play with my band,” he expresses. “It makes me feel at home. The 99 is the freeway that runs up California that I take to go home. That’s really what the song is about, getting back to the mountains and ripping down the road in my square body Ford, and it’s a hell of a time to play.”

Make sure to take a listen to Noah Rinker’s sophomore EP, Burning Daylight, out Friday, and catch him on tour this summer with artists like Wyatt Flores and Sam Barber.
