R&B Newcomer Zacari Strikes Gold with the "Midas Touch"

Top Dawg Entertainment's latest recruit, Zacari is transporting us back to our nostalgic high school days when we'd disregard summer reading lists and arrive unprepared for our draining first day of classes. Lengthy epic poems like Homer's Iliad and The Odyssey are must-reads for ancient Greek literature bookworms, but Zacari channels the prodigious power of the legendary King Midas for his new offering, "Midas Touch." Having collaborated with Kendrick Lamar on the critically acclaimed DAMN. (LP 2017), Zacari is an innovative hip-hop and R&B artist destined for greatness – and "Midas Touch" is definitely getting him one step closer to that.

"Midas Touch" serves as Zacari's second cut off his forthcoming debut EP under the TDE label, giving us a decent idea of what to expect from him in the months to come. Highlighting the rewarding moments of his life since he began being more daring with his drastic decisions, Zacari claims that moving to Hollywood may have changed his character, but now he has a newfound sense of confidence and success that was previously unattainable. Zacari's smooth vocals layered over booming electronics create an undeniable energy that really draws listeners in one fantastic verse at a time.

On his unreleased music, Zacari shared:

"This is only the beginning of my long catalogue I intend to put out into the world. Both these singles are over a year old. Can't wait to give you the EP, but I'm already 60% done with the album!!! Stay sharp."
