They say "comparison is the thief of joy," and no one knows that better than singer-songwriter and producer Riovaz in his latest single, "Tantrum (Pace Yourself)." The dance-inducing track is a short, sweet tune brimming with euphoria that sees the young artist overanalyze the comparisons and judgments made about him by other people.

“Tantrum” opens with pulsing percussion and sleek synths, wasting no time hooking listeners with its addictive and bold sonics. Riovaz's emotional vocals chime in, sharing how he knows the people in his life don't "think the same as me." A collage of droning beats and synths elevates listeners into a state of ecstasy as Riovaz describes how people are watching his every move.

However, instead of drowning in self-doubt, Riovaz proudly asserts that he's "tired of comparisons / I'm who I wanna be." The 18-year-old hitmaker confidently declares he has absolutely no intention of changing who he is or his artistry for anyone else's sake. Ultimately, “Tantrum” is an ode to staying true to who you are at your core, a sentiment that sometimes gets swept under the rug due to societal pressures to conform.

The catchy and high-octane track follows the success of his previous single, "Tell Me Your Fears." In the song, he invites someone to trust him with their fears while haunting, dance-inducing synths and sonic pulses engulf the room. He puts his heart on the line in the name of immersive, relatable, and highly danceable music while telling another person's story of being hypnotized.
