Sydney-based pop artist Salty is all about making people feel their absolute best. With infectious energy and empowering lyrics, her music is designed to uplift, inspire, and bring out the confidence in every listener. Growing up as a dancer, music was always in her DNA, but once she discovered songwriting, everything changed. Taking inspiration from Kylie Minogue and other attitude-driven artists, Salty creates tracks that make you feel unstoppable, whether you're in the club, in your car, or dancing around your bedroom.

With her signature blend of bold melodies and feel-good anthems, Salty is carving out her own space in pop music one confidence-boosting song at a time.

Let’s get to know Salty:

Ones to Watch: Your music has such an empowering energy to it. What do you hope people feel when they listen to your songs?

I just want them to feel like their most confident, beautiful self. I want them to feel like they can do anything they put their mind to. If I can be that for someone else, that’s the goal.

Tell us about your journey into music—where did it all begin for you?

Hi, my name's Salty! I’m a pop artist from Sydney, and I got into music growing up dancing. When I figured out you could write your own songs, it was all over for me. I knew that this was made for me.

Were there any artists who had a big influence on you growing up?

Growing up, in the car on the way to dancing, the only person my mum would play was Kylie Minogue. That is a major part of my childhood.

Your music has a really confident and fearless vibe. What kind of sound do you gravitate towards?

I love listening to artists that make me feel confident, hot—that attitude vibe. So I think when I’m writing songs, I want everyone to feel very confident when they’re listening to them.

What was the moment that made you realize you wanted to pursue music seriously?

When I found out you could go into a session with a producer and come out with a whole song, that was mind-blowing to me. And now I feel like I’ve really found my groove.

Has your creative process changed over time?

Yeah, learning patience with songs. Like, it doesn’t need to sound like a hit on the first day. Let it evolve naturally.

How do you know when a song is finished?

I feel like I just know when a song’s finished. It’s a feeling in my body. I just know that it’s ready and it’s meant to go out.

What advice would you give to other artists trying to find their sound?

Admiring the little wins is very important. Otherwise, you’ll just—you’ll drown. Stay in your own lane. Figure out what makes you different from everyone else. Finding what that is for you and really sticking to it—everything will open up for you.
