Saya Gray Teases Debut Album with Latest Single “H.B.W.”

Saya Gray once again invites listeners into a kaleidoscope of sound with her latest single “H.B.W” An acronym for ‘Heartbreak Wake,’ “H.B.W” sees Gray looking on from the outside in, grieving the loss of a ‘spooky boy’ and watching life pass her by.

In true Saya Gray fashion, the track features the artist’s etherealy soft vocals atop thunderous heavy bass and drum production. Ephemeral glints of acoustic piano and harp suck the listener deeper into the sonic realm that Gray’s managed to forge and maintain across her catalog. In addition to the production elements that make Gray a standout artist, her lyrics also serve to build a world that’s all her own. Lines like “I’m an outfit you change into” are paralleled in the song “DIPAD33/W.I.D.F.U” from her previous project QWERTY II, in which she sings “You change out of me (I’m an outfit).”

“H.B.W” is the second single from Gray since coming off her QWERTY tour earlier this year. A follow-up to the country-tinged “SHELL (OF A MAN)”, this single is a further glimpse into what’s to come on the artist’s debut album ‘SAYA’ which is slated for release on February 21st, 2025.
